Bayshore Easy Drive will be herein referred to as “BED”
Pick-up and Drop-off Location: At 1620 Bayshore Drive located near the Westin Bayshore. Please speak to the parking attendant for pick up and drop off. We are open 24/7.
Additional drivers must meet same restrictions as primary driver Maximum 1 additional driver per rental. Fee $10.00 CAD per day, per driver. Additional driver must be registered when you sign the rental agreement. If non-registered person drives, Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) will not come into effect.
Coverage: The damage responsibility will be up to $2500 unless the case does not fall under the prohibited clauses in the Agreement.
Driver’s license: International renters require driver’s license in English, French or International Driver’s license along with passport.
Minimum age for all car groups is 25. Under age fee of $29.95/day will apply.
*You will be charged for the full amount of the reservation time period, even if the vehicle is returned to BED early.
Optional Product: If you selected Optional Products (e.g. GPS), you are responsible for replacement costs if the Product or its components are lost, stolen or damaged.
Returning a vehicle late (in addition to the per hour fees for use of the vehicles):
$35 per late hour or any part thereof
* Please notify BED as soon as you get into accident or traffic. BED will check to see if your statement is valid.
Charges for canceled or changed reservations:
No charge for a reservation under 48 hours canceled. Otherwise charge (up to maximum charge of one daily rate) will apply.
* If you wish to extend a reservation, you may do so if the Vehicle is available for use for the extension period
BED reserves the right to charge you for violation tickets, parking fines towing fee, plus any costs incurred by BED (e.g. all repair and recovery costs, legal fees.)
You will be charged a fee for any oversight, omission, or negligence on your part that inconveniences BED or other customers.
Charges/Vehicle Condition/Stolen Vehicles
Before driving the vehicle, you must advise BED of any damage or abnormality encountered on the vehicle or in the operation of the vehicle.
* If BED is not notified of a problem at the start of a reservation, you will be responsible for any problem with the vehicle reported after your reservation.
You are responsible for all charges and costs incurred related to the BED vehicle for the entire period of the reservation.
You must report to BED any condition that renders the vehicle unserviceable.
Stolen vehicles must be immediately reported and the key to the vehicle must be returned to BED as proof that you had the BED car secured when it was stolen.
You are responsible for the cleanliness of vehicles
You must be responsive to all warning lights, chimes and other indicators/alerts.
Inappropriate noises or driving feel must be reported to BED as soon as noted.
The use of a BED vehicle under the following conditions is prohibited:
any speed race or competition;
for the purpose of towing, pushing, or propelling any trailer or any other vehicle;
for the primary business purpose of transporting people or operating a taxi service;
by any person who is under the influence of alcohol or any drug or medication under the effects of which the operation of a vehicle is prohibited.
in the carrying out of any crime or any other illegal activity;
in an imprudent, negligent, or abusive manner or for any abnormal use of this vehicle;
by any person who has provided BED with false information or whose representations are determined to be false.
driving without a hands-free device, otherwise using a mobile communication device that may distract you from driving or otherwise engaging in similar activities that is prohibited by law.
any inappropriate use of a BED’s car, as determined by BED in its sole discretion, may be deemed a violation of these Rules. BED may report to the authorities any use of a BED vehicle that are in violation of local, state, provincial and/or federal law.
smoking & pets (*You are subject to fees if evidence of smoking/ pets is found in BED vehicles)
Breakdown or Incidents
— All breakdowns or incidents involving BED vehicles must be reported to BED immediately by phone to the office 604-688-0121 or the booth 604-647-1191.
Incident: In case of an incident involving property damage or any third party, you must fill out an official police report form, and, if possible, provide a jointly agreed-upon statement, complete BED’s incident report form, and obtain the following information;
Date, time, and place of incident;
The license plate numbers of any other vehicles involved, their make& year, their identification number (serial number), and the insurance certificate’s number (with name, address and phone number of the insurance agent);
The names, addresses, and driver’s license numbers of the persons involved in the incident;
The name, address, and driver’s license number of the owner of the car (if he or she is not the driver);
The name, addresses, and phone number of witnesses, passengers, and any other involved persons;
Circumstances of the incident; and
A police report is required regardless of liability or fault.
Investigation and procedure: You must provide to BED and any other claims adjustment service with the findings of any report or any notice relating to a claim or a lawsuit against BED regarding any incident involving a BED vehicle.
— You are responsible for the costs related to the repair, recovery, and loss of use of any BED vehicle resulting from any of the foregoing if such costs are determined to be your fault or fault is not established to any other person or entity.
* Please note that, as provided in the Agreement, you may be responsible for the all applicable damages and costs arising from the Customer’s failure to comply with the terms of the Agreement.
